2021: Our Year In Review

 /

2021 was another year for the books. With a slow recovery from the pandemic, we watched our world come back to life, and look forward to enjoying the holidays in-person with our families again. Things have changed constantly in 2021, and we are reminded of how lucky we are with the support from our incredible customers, wholesale partners, and Colored Organics team.

Together, we’ve been able to successfully give over $25,000 and helped clothe thousands of children in need. Above all, our goal is always to better the lives of everyone that interacts with our product. Thank you for purchasing Colored Organics' product this past year. With your support, we have been able to work with over a dozen organizations and communities to help provide aid to children in need.

We kicked off the year by partnering with Room to Grow to ensure children in low-income families will thrive from the start with resources they otherwise might not have access to.

In February, we worked with Fellowship Housing to help provide resources to single mothers experiencing homelessness. It was a cold month here in Minnesota, so we cuddled our kiddos extra-tight!

In March, we released our Vesta Collection. We were blown away by how much love we received for these adorable new styles and prints. This month's Give Back was dedicated to Emerge Mothers Academy, which is based in our home city of Minneapolis and helps single mothers in need.

April brought Earth Day, and this year we celebrated in style! With the creation of our limited-edition "Watch Me Grow" bodysuit, we were able to plant over 250 trees in partnership with The Arbor Day Foundation.

In May, our world slowly started to open up and COVID restrictions were lifted. We were so thankful to spend time with our moms for Mother's Day in-person this year! In honor of Memorial Day, we worked with Operation Showers of Appreciation to create care packages for military families expecting a child.

In June, we welcomed a variety of adorable summer styles to Colored Organics with our Garden and Prairie Collections. We also partnered with Subtle Hands to build care packages for children in long-term care at hospitals around the Los Angeles area.

In July, we were proud to partner with Hope Supply Co. to donate newborn clothing to homeless children in the Northern region of Texas. We also talked about vacation must-haves on the blog as we resumed a summer of travel.

Back to school season is upon us! To help kiddos get ready for a school year unlike any other, in August we worked with Cradles to Crayons to provide children with the everyday essentials they need to thrive — at home, at school, and at play.

In September, we were on set and scheduling photo shoots for our new Journey and Forest Collections. The holiday season is right around the corner, and our team was busy prepping to create some wintery magic. This month, we donated to Team Rubicon to help Afghan families displaced by the crisis in their country.

In October, we released our Journey Collection, inspired by nature and the changing seasons. The leaves were falling in Minnesota, and we were proud to donate clothing to The Bumblebee Foundation, which helps children with pediatric cancer.

November brought us the Forest Collection and a cozy Thanksgiving with our team. To help our community prepare for the winter ahead, we held a coat drive with One Warm Coat and donated 20% of our proceeds from Giving Tuesday to the organization.

In December, we weathered a snow storm and decorated our office for the holidays. We enjoyed joining forces with Loved Twice, an organization that donates infant clothing to those in need in hospitals, shelters, and clinics around South Carolina.

As we closed out the year, it’s been exciting to look back on the collections we’ve released, and the adorable babes we shared them with. We continued through the holiday season with our partnership with One Warm Coat, donating in total over 1600 coats for them to share.

We sincerely wish you and your family a safe and cozy holiday season. We’re incredibly grateful to all of those who have supported our small, women-owned business in this historic year, and we can’t wait to see what is in store for 2022!
