July Feature

 /

During the month of July, we partnered with Generation Her. Generation Her is a non-profit organization operating in Southern California, that seeks to empower teenage mothers, ages 13-23, and their children by connecting them to a supportive community of other teen moms and adult mentors and equipping them with life skills to impact their future in a positive way. Colored Organics donated youth and baby clothing to those in need through Generation Her.

Generation Her is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2009 that was created from a lack of existing services for teen moms and pregnant teens. Their goal was to give teen moms a positive place where they felt loved instead of judged.

They offer weekly life skills programs for teen mothers and pregnant teens at their 6 locations throughout Los Angeles and Orange County. Generation Her encourages setting educational and career goals for each teen mom that they work with and walks beside each mom to accomplish as well as to provide a safe place of encouragement, hope, and support through mentors and other teen moms. They also encourage independence through teaching life skill classes such as; budgeting, nutrition, relationship workshops and so much more. Generation Her is not only changing lives in the world of teen moms, but it is also changing the community around them.
