Our partnership with Baby2Baby

Giving back to children in need is at the heart of everything we do at CO. We have partnered with Baby2Baby this month to provide youth clothing to Baby2Baby "2 The Rescue bundles".

Baby2Baby, a non-profit organization led by Co-Presidents Kelly Sawyer Patricof and Norah Weinstein, provides children living in poverty, ages 0-12 years, with diapers, clothing and all the basic necessities that every child deserves. Every year, Baby2Baby serves hundreds of thousands of children across the country.

Baby2Baby "2 the Rescue bundles" are distributed to children in the foster care system and are filled with basic essentials including clothing, blankets, and hygiene items. When a child is removed from their home and enters the foster care system, they often are left with only the clothes on their back. Baby2Baby's "2 The Rescue bundles" are typically the only belongings that these children bring into their new placement, and are intended to ease their otherwise difficult transition. This year, Baby2Baby will donate a total of 7,000 of these bundles to children in need.

House of Charity

This month, the Colored Organics team took a morning to help serve meals to families in need at The House of Charity. One of the primary goals is to help struggling individuals meet their basic human needs of food and shelter while reducing barriers to their long-term self-sufficiency.

The Food Centre, at 714 Park Avenue in Minneapolis, feeds more than 350 people each day. House of Charity is the only public lunch program open every day of the year, and over 60% of the staff is on volunteer basis. To find out more on how to volunteer or donate click here.
