Why Organic

Organic cotton is grown naturally and sustainably, without herbicides, pesticides or any other harmful chemicals. These safe farming methods preserve the soil, conserve energy, and help to protect the health of the people in the community where the cotton is grown. It also keeps our cotton clothing free of chemicals.

Our clothing is created using the Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS), the world's leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibers. Only products that contain a minimum of 70% organic fibers can become GOTS certified. All accessories, dyes, and other inputs must meet certain environmental and toxicological criteria. Additionally, under the GOTS our manufacturers must maintain a minimum Social Criteria, including living wages, safe working conditions, working hours that are not excessive, and more.

The materials we purchase are Fair Trade certified, following strict equitable trade practices at every level of the supply chain. To qualify as fair trade, we buy from certified farms and organizations, pay Fair Trade prices, and submit to rigorous supply chain audits.
